Meet ClimatePartner
ClimatePartner is a trusted partner for organisations in understanding their emissions, reducing them, and creating positive impact on the environment. The company combines their smart software with expert guidance to help businesses in decarbonisation. Their hybrid model of digital solution with hands-on consulting helps companies to manage emissions data and track reduction measures.
ClimatePartner is committed to science-based targets, calculates their own carbon footprints annually, and takes part in initiatives such as the UN Global Compact and EcoVadis, following the same standards that they recommend to their clients.
The Challenge
Since 2006, ClimatePartner has invested in innovative IT solutions to simplify decarbonisation. The initiative is intended to create significant added value and set new standards in previously untapped areas. The innovation process is therefore complex, as the development teams are faced with demanding technical requirements and the finance department has difficulty predicting the return on investment for such projects.
The Solution
The federal Forschungszulage programme was the perfect opportunity to acquire financial support for this innovative endeavour.
innoscripta introduced the research allowance programme to ClimatePartner, and the possibility that their IT initiatives could qualify for funding. With an initial discussion about innoscripta’s approach, a collaborative analysis of the development projects was conducted. By partnering with innoscripta, ClimatePartner was able to identify three promising projects eligible to claim the research allowance. They submitted an initial application, which also included the retroactive consideration.
The Impact
The collaboration with innoscripta proved highly successful for ClimatePartner as they swiftly received a massive funding approval for one of their three projects, while the other two remain under review.
Based on the positive results in terms of approved funding in a short amount of time and innoscripta's success-based remuneration model, ClimatePartner recommends innoscripta to companies with innovative projects who aim to seek government-backed funding support.
