- Full ownership of group accounting (general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets)
- Ensuring audit-ready monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB); IFRS knowledge is a plus
- Establishing and continuously improving an effective internal control system, ensuring compliance with GoBD and regulatory standards
- Driving the digitalization and automation of accounting processes in close collaboration with IT and Operations
- Leading and developing the accounting team, including resource planning and succession planning
- Managing tax-related processes and filings (VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, corporate and trade tax)
- Preparing and analyzing financial reports; partnering closely with the CFO and management on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Acting as a business partner for internal stakeholders and actively contributing to projects such as financing rounds, audits, and M&A activities
- Continuously optimizing processes to enhance transparency, efficiency, and scalability
- 10–15 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally including leadership experience in a high-growth or publicly listed environment
- Strong expertise in German GAAP (HGB) and a solid understanding of commercial and tax regulations
- Proven experience in financial statement preparation and working with external auditors
- High affinity for modern ERP systems and digital accounting tools
- Excellent English skills
- Strong communication and analytical abilities, combined with sound business acumen
