Senior Payroll Specialist (all genders)

Working closely with Management, HR, external tax advisors, and public authorities, you will ensure accurate, compliant payroll operations while actively contributing to the optimization of our processes and the development of our proprietary payroll software.

Own Payroll Operations: Independently manage monthly payroll processing for our employees in Germany, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.

Ensure Compliance: Guarantee compliance with German employment, payroll tax, and social security regulations while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Coordinate Key Stakeholders: Act as the primary point of contact for employees, HR, external tax advisors, and government authorities, including collaboration in an international environment.

Manage Payroll Data: Maintain and administer payroll-related employee data within our HR systems, including statutory reporting and certification processes.

Drive Transparency: Support internal and external audits and prepare payroll reports and analyses for management and regulatory authorities.

Shape the Future: Contribute to the development of our in-house payroll software by defining functional requirements, supporting testing activities, and continuously improving payroll processes.

• Completed vocational training or a degree in Payroll, Accounting, Tax, Finance, Human Resources, or a comparable qualification

• At least 10 years of professional experience in payroll, ideally within an international environment

• In-depth knowledge of German payroll tax and social security legislation

• Hands-on experience with payroll systems such as DATEV, SAP HCM, BMD, or comparable solutions

• High level of accuracy, discretion, and ownership with a senior-level mindset

• Fluent German and English skills (C2 level or equivalent), both written and spoken

• Permanent employment contract
