How is contemporaneous time enforced?

A live timer captures activity as it happens. Entries are time-stamped at creation and locked after a configurable grace period (typically 7 days). Edits after that are kept as audit-trail amendments with reason codes, so the original entry remains intact. Auto-start/stop rules trigger timers based on user context, removing manual logging for routine work.

How are working-time rules enforced automatically?

Break violations, overtime thresholds and deductions are calculated automatically per jurisdiction. Read-only restrictions can lock specific fields in specific contexts, and warnings fire in real time when limits are approached, so the claim never carries hours that conflict with local labor law.

Can we import from existing time-tracking tools?

Yes. Connectors are available for the most common time-tracking platforms, plus generic CSV import. Historical entries are imported with their original timestamps preserved as the source of truth.

How do approvals get logged and fed to payroll?

Every action (submit, approve, reject, edit) is captured with author, timestamp and reason. The audit log is immutable and exports alongside the timesheet as a single PDF or JSON package. Direct connectors to common payroll and HR platforms pass approved hours through, with R&D-eligible hours flagged separately so finance can split them out.
