Established in 1919, the company has built their reputation on core values of quality, efficiency, and dependability. Presently, Sievert employs around 1,600 people across 60 locations in Germany, other European countries, and China, supplying high-quality building materials to 39 countries worldwide.
In the building materials vertical, the company integrates the expertise of their five premium brands; quick-mix, akurit, tubag, strasser, and hahne under one umbrella, offering more than 2,600 products for different purposes. Each year, approximately 1.74 million tonnes of building materials are delivered to support construction projects. Driven by innovation and decades of expertise, Sievert continues to develop high-grade products while valuing people, supporting their workforce, and fostering future talent through the Sievert Foundation for Science and Culture.
The Challenge
As the markets and industries are ever continuously developing further , Sievert rethinks building materials to better fit evolving needs. Research and development is an important part of the company as they focus on sustainability on a larger scale.
Sievert was very pleased to have an opportunity like the Research Allowance Act introduced in 2020, which allowed companies to refinance a portion of their R&D and innovation costs.
After the introduction of this funding programme, they immediately decided to pursue it and applied for funding. But the complexities involved with the application requirements, especially in the context of project documentation, hindered their process.
The Solution
To navigate the complexity of the funding process, Sievert partnered with innoscripta.
The company was particularly impressed by innoscripta’s consulting approach and the capabilities of the Clusterix software. With guidance from innoscripta’s expert team and the support of the software platform, the application process became significantly more structured and manageable.
The Impact
With innoscripta's support, Sievert successfully submitted applications for seven R&D projects.
The approved funding strengthened Sievert’s capabilities to continue investing in innovation and sustainability-focused research. Based on this experience, Sievert regards innoscripta as a reliable and competent partner for successfully navigating this government-backed funding opportunity.
